About the crew

A Manurewa tree crew. Small, proper, fair.

We live here, we work here, and most of our customers are a five-minute drive from the yard. That's how we keep it quick and keep it affordable.

There are two kinds of tree services in Auckland. The big ones with a fleet of trucks and a city pricelist — good work, good gear, but the quote you get back pays for their office. And the ones that turn up in a ute with a saw and a rope and hope for the best.

We're neither. We're a small crew based in Manurewa with proper arborist training, proper rigging gear, full insurance, and a chipper that earns its keep. The office is the yard. The pricelist is what it actually costs us to do your job plus a fair day's wage.

The work we're proud of is the part most people don't notice: the section that comes down exactly where we said it would, roped in the drop instead of a bomb; the lawn blown off before we leave; the quote that matches the invoice.

If you've had a bad experience with a tree crew before, we'd rather not have the same thing said about us. So we take our time on the bits that matter, move fast on the bits that don't, and clean up before we go.

How we work

The short version.

1You ring or text

A photo of the tree and your suburb is usually enough. If we need to see it in person to quote it, we say so.

2Quote back next day

Written, with a scope and a price. If we can book you in on the spot, we will. No "we'll get back to you" and then silence.

3Turn up on time

The morning of the job, we're there when we said. Full gear, chipper, rigging — the whole setup on one trip.

4Work it, clean it, go

Sectioned down properly, chipped, stacked if you want firewood, hauled away if you don't. Sweep and blow-off before we leave.

5Follow up

A day or two later we'll check in to make sure you're happy. If anything's not right, tell us — we'd rather fix it than have you grumbling.

6Stay local

If the tree grows back, or the neighbour asks who did yours, we'd love to be the ones they call. That's how this keeps working.

Gear & ticket

Properly kitted, properly insured, properly trained.

Rigging rope and lowering gear for controlled drops near roofs, fences and powerlines. A chipper on the trailer so we're not hauling whole branches across your lawn. Stump grinder if you want the stump gone too. Harnesses, helmets, chainsaws that are sharp and recently serviced — because blunt saws are how people get hurt.

Public liability cover through the business. Chainsaw tickets current. A crew who's done enough jobs to know what a tricky one looks like before they start.
